Nathan writes:

"I accepted a position for the State at the Waupun Correctional Facility. My official title is Office Operations Assistant; basically I will be working with coordinating inmate movement, cell assignment, incident reporting, and other paperwork pushing. We are pretty excited."

Nathan and his wife live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Matt Evon ('09)

Matt sent an update:

"Finally after a few weeks at the army's Financial Management School I have a good idea of what exactly I will be doing once I graduate and start working at my first duty station in Fort Campbell, KY.

"As a 2LT my job title is the OIC (officer in charge) of Accounts Payable/Disbursing. My primary responsibility is to pay vendors so that my unit has the resources it needs to accomplish its mission. My office consists of just 5 people (4 NCO enlisted personnel and myself), and we are in charge of paying all the vendors for a Brigade (4,000 people!). I'm very excited because down the road there are many opportunities for advancement. In just 3 short years when I get promoted to Captain I could be planning an annual budget for an entire Brigade which would be very interesting.

"I heard that [Maranatha's] ROTC Ranger Challenge Team came in 1st place this past weekend! CDT Furnari called me yesterday and he seemed very excited about it."

Thanks, Matt. As taxpayers, we're also glad to know that you'll making careful use of our tax dollars in defense of our liberties as Americans!
